A little bit more

Sunny, who is ginger, male and four years’ old is looking for a forever home.

After his original owner moved to Dubai with his young family a year ago, Sunny was welcomed into the owner's mother’s home. Keen to not to lose touch with her family, Sunny’s new owner regularly travelled to Dubai to see them whilst Sunny stayed in a local cattery. Over time, Sunny no longer coped well with being separated from his owner or enjoyed trips to the cattery, appearing to become more withdrawn with every visit. He also struggled with the arrival of a new cat in his neighbourhood who bullied him. Therefore, Sunny’s owner reluctantly asked HFC for help to find him a more suitable home.

Sunny arrived into HFC foster care last week where he has been settling in well. He is a beautiful, large cat too big to sit on most laps, preferring to sit next to his Carer. He has a very, soft, cuddly coat and communicative, "waggy" tail, which he uses to ask his Carer when he would like a fuss and to let her know as soon as he’s had enough! Sunny loves to climb, once jumping onto the top of a door to get the best angle on his temporary home (see photo)! He likes to look out of the window and his catio and a home with a safe garden to explore is top of Sunny's wish list. So far, Sunny has not been playful, but this has potential to change once he is settled into a new home.

Sunny is looking for a home with adults whose travel away from home is limited and who have time to spend making him feel special. Due to his recent experience with cats and a fear of dogs he would like to be an only pet in his new home.

Sunny has previously been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He has also received updates to preventative flea and worm treatment and is now ready to meet potential adopters at his foster home in Tilford (Farnham).

If you would like to help Sunny rediscover his previous Sunny disposition(!) and you are able to offer him a loving, forever home with safe, outside space, please apply to adopt him by completing our application form below. Thank you:
