This is Juliette, who is female, ginger and white and almost five months’ old.

Juliette arrived into the care of our Shelter Vet, along with a number of other cats from her home, who were scheduled to receive neutering and microchip procedures. However, it was clear that Juliette's eye had been badly injured. Despite best efforts, her eye could not be saved and it was sadly removed whilst she was under anaesthetic. Struggling to care for, and financially support, all her cats, Juliette's owner decided to sign her over to HFC for re-homing so that a suitable home can be found for her.

Following her surgery, Juliette arrived into foster care in Weybridge three weeks’ ago. After a short recovery, this sweet-natured girl is feeling better and is bonding with her Foster Carer, enjoying spending time sitting next to her and sleeping with her on her bed at night. Juliette, who has the softest fur, is slightly nervous and will jump when she hears unusual noises and hide when there are visitors to her foster home (even quiet ones!).

Juliette has started to enjoy play again, most liking a wand toy with a wiggly worm on the end (rather than a feather which worries her) and ping pong balls. She appears to be adjusting well to her single eye, bouncing around her foster home and occasionally doing zoomies.

Juliette enjoys wet food and is following a grain-free diet to keep her slightly sensitive stomach in balance.
