A little bit more

Long-haired, male, black cat, Ivy, who was featured posing for a photo post health-check last month, is now ready to find his forever home.

5-year-old Ivy had become very unhappy in his previous home. His owners first started a family and then moved house in quick succession, which resulted in him going off his food and no longer getting along with his previous companion, Holly.

Ivy initially struggled upon his arrival into foster care, and we ask that potential adopters are mindful that this lovely boy may take a little time to warm to new surroundings. Six weeks’ on, Ivy has relaxed and his cheeky nature is back shining through!

Ivy loves attention and he seeks out affection from his Foster Carers, taking every opportunity to lay on them and make his own style of biscuits, sometimes in the air! Ivy also loves food, acting as Sous Chef whenever his Carers are cooking and dinner party guest at mealtimes. He actively seeks out heat and has been discovered warming himself on a hot radiator. Ivy is a very curious cat, who likes to explore every corner of his territory. Whilst he is playful in short bursts, he much prefers, love, food and heat!

Due to Ivy’s experiences, he would like to live with adults who spend the majority of their time at home and where he can enjoy being an only pet. Whilst he does like to spend time outside, we understand that he has always stayed nearby.  As Ivy’s coat is long-haired, he is looking for an adopter(s) committed to regularly brushing him to keep it in good condition and matt-free.

Ivy has previously been neutered and vaccinated. Therefore, we have arranged for him to receive a health check, both vaccinations and preventative flea and worm treatment. He is now ready to meet potential adopters at his foster home in Woking.

If you spend the majority of time at home and would enjoy companionship from affectionate Ivy, please express your interest in offering him a forever home by completing our application form. Thank you.
