A little bit more
Ava, who is female, black & white and 8 years, 9 months’ old is looking for a forever home.
Ava and her friend, Cactus, were bought by her owners as kittens in 2016. Some years later, her owners added two further kittens into their family household. The younger cats soon started to bully Ava, particularly around the entrance to the cat flap, and now, even former friend, Cactus, has become indifferent to her offers of friendship. As a result, Ava has become deeply unhappy, avoiding the other cats and the cat flap area and overgrooming her tummy until it is almost bald. In order to help poor Ava and to restore harmony at home, her owners have reluctantly asked for help from HFC to re-home her.
Ava is a very loving cat with expressive, smiley eyes and a deep meow! She will chat to ask to be let into a different room and when her food is being prepared. When the three other cats are elsewhere, Ava loves to follow her special person around and to sit outside on the grass with her on a sunny day. Ava is not currently playful, but we are hopeful this may change once she is settled in a new home and her sparkle returns.
Due to her experiences, Ava is looking for a home where she can relax and enjoy being an only pet. She has potential to either live with adults or a family with very respectful children, aged 8+. She has a particular fondness for retired people! Ava would like a home that has access to safe, outside space with adopters who have time to spend with her, re-building her confidence and reassuring her that not all cat flaps are the same!
Ava has already been spayed, microchipped and is fully vaccinated. She is available for adoption via our Direct Re-home Service, which means that potential adopters will be invited to meet her at her current home in Hampton. If you would like to offer this loving young lady a forever home with you, please complete our application form below and we will contact you. Thank you.
